History
Tier ONE has over 50 years in providing machining and assembly solutions for Function Critical, Highly Engineered parts and assemblies.
Our expertise was initially developed under Sorvall, and then further expanded upon under DuPont, where our Newtown facility became the premiere machining operation within the Medical Products division. In 1996, Kendro Laboratory Products acquired the Sorvall brand in the Medical Products division along with the machining operations. Kendro further developed the capabilities of the Machining and Assembly operations through additional investment in equipment and in Lean manufacturing capabilities. We took it a step further when Kendro decided to outsource the area. Our management team put a plan together to utilize our distinctive heritage to exceed industry standards and provide cost savings to Kendro as well as the many new customers we have added over the years.
